Five departments join hands to ease Madhapur traffic, protect Durgam Cheruvu
Five government departments are preparing a joint action plan to reduce traffic congestion in Madhapur and prevent sewage pollution in Durgam Cheruvu. Officials inspected the area and discussed solutions, including new pipelines to divert and treat sewage water.

Hyderabad: An action plan involving five key government departments is being chalked out to address the issues of traffic congestion at Madhapur and protecting the Durgam Cheruvu from sewage water pollution.
On Saturday, senior officials from Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, HMWSSB, Traffic police, TGSPDCL, Irrigation and TSIIC officials carried out an inspection of Madhapur and discussed solutions for traffic problems and pollution of water body. Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner Srijana, HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy, and others participated in the inspection.
Officials said that to prevent excess sewage from other areas entering Durgam Cheruvu, a 1000 mm diameter pipeline from Madhapur Petrol Pump to Madhapur I&D was under progress. A special pipeline from Durgam Cheruvu STP was to be constructed to transport and use the treated water.
