Five killed in high-speed crash between sports bike and car in Mahabubnagar

Five persons, including three members of a family and two motorcyclists, were killed in a high-speed collision between a sports bike and a Hyundai Verna on Palakonda bypass road in Mahabubnagar early Monday morning.

Mahabubnagar: Five persons were killed on the spot in what appears to be a high-speed collision between a sports bike and a car on Palakonda bypass road here in the early hours of Monday. The deceased included three passengers of a car and the two motorcyclists.
According to reports, a family was returning home in a Hyundai Verna when a sports bike, driven at a great speed rammed into the verna, which was taking a U turn on the bypass road.

Death was instant for Arsha Begum (30), Ujepa (7) and Umar (2), all residents of Mahabubnagar town. The other two were believed to be motorcyclists and one of them was identified as Yakub Afzal, a resident of Hyderbad. Efforts are being made to identity the other deceased person.
Overspeeding by the motorcyclist is suspected to be the reason for the horrible road accident that shook Mahabubnagar town. More details are awaited.
