Hyderabad: The Rachakonda She Team from Ibrahimpatnam division along with the Maheshwaram police rescued five minor boys from a brick kiln late on Wednesday.
Following a tip-off, the She Team along with Child Welfare Department and Labour Department officials reached the spot and found the boys at the VSR brick kiln in Maheshwaram. An elderly couple too was present. They were found to be living under hazardous and unhygenic conditions.
It is yet to be known if the children were forced into child labour. The children were counselled and handed over to their parents. The shop owner was counselled and warned.
The elderly couple was sent to an old age home for shelter.
