Nalgonda: A five-year-old boy died after falling into a water pit at Idikudi of Chandur mandal in Nalgonda district on Sunday.

Vattipalli Bhadri, son of Venkatesh and Devakamma, died after failing into the water pit that was dug for mixing pesticide in their agriculture fields. The pit was filled with water due to the rains in the last two days.

The couple, along with their son and daughter, went to their agriculture fields for cultivation work. While they were busy with work, the boy accidentally slipped into the pit while playing alone.

Other farmers noticed it and alerted the parents. They retrieved his bod from the water pit and shifted him to a local hospital, where doctors declared the boy brought dead.
