Hyderabad: In the last three days, 2.86 lakh people applied for flood relief at MeeSeva centres across Hyderabad. Out of these, 1.78 lakh applications have been verified and Rs 178 crore was released into the bank accounts of beneficiaries.

Earlier, the State government had distributed Rs 486 crore as interim financial assistance at Rs 10,000 each to flood victims from October 20 to November 13, where 4.86 lakh people benefited. Combining the relief extended online through MeeSeva centres and the offline distribution done earlier, 6.64 lakh people have so far received the financial assistance from the State government. The total amount disbursed so far is Rs 664 crore.
