Hyderabad: A fast-track special court for child offences at Rajendranagar on Friday sentenced T Suresh (22), a food delivery executive from NM Guda, to three years’ simple imprisonment for stalking and sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl on the false promise of marriage.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 and awarded Rs 1 lakh compensation to the victim.

The case was registered by the Attapur Police in September 2021 following a complaint by the victim’s mother. Officials said efforts by the investigating team, prosecutors and the Bharosa Centre helped secure the conviction.
