Hyderabad: Following criticism over stopping food delivery service by the police in the city on Saturday, the Director General of Police held a meeting with the commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda on Saturday night.
“Held review meeting with the three Commissioners of Police regarding several requests flagged with disruption of essential services including food deliveries while tightening lockdown. Directed to ensure a seamless supply ahead while executing strict lockdown,” said M Mahender Reddy, DGP Telangana.
Several people had complained through social media about the hardship faced by them after the police had detained the vehicles and stopped the food delivery boys on Saturday. However towards evening the police had released a majority of the vehicles.
