Hyderabad: After Congress MLAs and leaders came up with different excuses over food poisoning incidents at government schools, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D Anasuya has come up with a conspiracy theory.
“We have doubts over political conspiracies behind the food poisoning incidents in the State. All the persons behind the conspiracies will be exposed with evidences,” Anasuya told the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday.
If any officials were involved in these conspiracies, criminal cases would be booked against them and they would be terminated from service, she said.
This was after Makthal MLA Srihari tried to play down the third food poisoning incident at ZPHS, Maganoor in Narayanpet on Wednesday. The MLA said a few students had consumed snacks at bakeries and kirana stores outside and fell ill. On the other hand, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar argued as to what the government could do if such “sporadic incidents” occur in the State.
In a video that is going viral on social media platforms, the Minister is seen saying: “Students consumed something from outside. Of the 360 students, only 30 students were down due to food poisoning and there is some issue in this. That’s the reason behind the student’s death in Asifabad but the Congress government is being blamed as if we had killed her.”
