Football for Schools launched across Telangana

The initiative aims to promote grassroots football development and encourage sports participation among school children

Football for Schools launched across Telangana
Footballs distributed as part of the Football For Schools in Telangana in the presence of Mr Arekapudi Gandhi, MLA, and TFA Secretary G Palguna.

Hyderabad: Telangana Football Association, under the banner of FIFA, All India Football Federation (AIFF), distributed footballs in 3171 schools across Telangana.
TFA Secretary G Palguna informed that the programme was part of the prestigious Football for Schools Programme.

“Through this initiative, 19,502 footballs were distributed to promote grassroots football development and encourage sports participation among school children throughout the state,” he said.


“Further, 428 schools from three districts, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, and Medchal Malkajgiri, benefited through the distribution of 3,191 footballs at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Rangareddy on 14-02-2026,” a TFA official said.

He requested all the school Physical Directors to take advantage of this scheme and to focus on grassroots football development in Telangana.

The event was graced by Arekapudi Gandhi, Serilingampally MLA, Palguna, who is also an AIFF Executive Committee Member.
