For CM Revanth Reddy Congress workers are like IAS officers, says Sathupalli MLA

Khammam: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy seems to have been harbouring misconceptions allegedly among Congress leaders about IAS officers and their work if the comments of Sathupalli MLA Dr Matta Ragamayee were any indication.
The MLA addressing the party workers at the Sathupalli Assembly constituency workers meeting revealed that the Chief Minister was often used to liken the Congress cadres and MLAs’ work with the IAS officers. A video clip of her recent speech went viral on social media.
Elaborating on what Revanth Reddy said, the MLA stated that the Chief Minister used to tell the party ranks many times that they were acting like IAS officers. The IAS officers, who work hard to get the position, neglect work once they reach their goal; the MLA quoted the Chief Minister as saying.
Dr Ragamayee noted that the party cadres as well as MLAs were acting negligently in countering the allegations of opposition parties. Whenever an opposition party leader makes statements against the government or the Ministers, the Congress leaders seldom counter such statements thinking that it was the business of the Ministers, she added.
It looks like the Congress leaders and Ministers in the State were lacking minimum courtesy towards the civil servants, who usually try to do their best in serving the public. It might be recalled that during an event in Hyderabad in February Revanth Reddy also made rather caustic remarks against IAS officers much to the chagrin of the civil servants community.
“Even as the IAS officers were told repeatedly to conduct field inspections, they were hesitating to go out of their AC rooms. I don’t know if using AC is a disease,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the officers should change their attitude of creating hurdles in clearing files.
In a similar manner, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy made insulting remarks against Karimnagar district Collector Pamela Satpathy in an event attended by Union Minister for Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar in Karimnagar this January.
A video clip showing the Minister expressing anger at the Collector and saying “Don’t you have common sense? What are you doing, what is this nonsense…” to her face went viral on social media. His misdemeanor had drawn flak on social media.
