Mulugu: Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Warangal range MJ Akbar inaugurated the newly constructed Forest Beat Officers (FBOs) quarters at Alubaka village under Venkatapuram mandal in the district on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Akbar said the quarters were specially constructed by the government to ensure that forest personnel would be available locally to check the illegal activities of poachers and timber smugglers, and to protect forest lands from land grabbers.
Earlier, the CCF inspected the construction works of the forest quarters on the premises of Tadwai Forest Range Complex, and asked the officials to take steps to complete the works within the stipulated period without compromising on the quality.
District Forest Officer (DFO) Pradeep Kumar Shetty, Mulugu FDO Nikhita, Tadwai FDO Shiv Ashish Singh, Venkatapuram FDO Gopal Rao, FROs, FBOs and other staff accompanied the CCF during the visit.
