Former Andhra MP Maganti Babu’s son found dead in hotel in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The younger son of Telugu Desam Party’s former Eluru MP, Maganti Babu, Maganti Ravindranath Chowdary, was found dead on the premises of a star hotel in Banjara Hills here on Tuesday.
Ravindranath, who reportedly had a history of alcoholism and was being treated at a hospital, was found dead with blood oozing from his mouth by the staff of the hotel, where he was staying.
On being alerted by the hotel management, the Banjara Hills police reached the spot and tried to shift him to the hospital, but he had died by then. They shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.
Ravindranath had recently fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in Andhra Pradesh and was being treated. However, it is learnt that he left the hospital without informing anyone and reached Hyderabad and checked into the hotel.
The Banjara Hills police are investigating. They suspect he died due to health issues, but maintained that more details including the actual cause of death would be revealed after the autopsy.
