Hyderabad: Former BRS MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy raised serious concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in the Kolhapur constituency. He held Minister Jupally Krishna Rao responsible for increasing attacks and also filing of police cases to harass the BRS cadre with political vendetta.

During a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Harshavardhan Reddy claimed that political attacks were rampant in the constituency and accused the government of harassing the BRS cadre. He pointed to the unsolved murder of Sridhar Reddy, stating that six months have passed without any arrests. He also alleged that political promises are being sidestepped by creating distractions, urging Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to put an end to the political violence in Kolhapur.

BRS leaders K Vijay Kumar and Abhilash Rangineni also leveled serious allegations against Jupalli Krishna Rao and his followers, holding them responsible for a girl’s suicide in Gadwal, after she was tortured at a police station following a missing gold chain. They demanded for filing a case against the brothers of Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, who is allegedly pressuring the police to sidestep the investigation.
