Warangal: Former Narsampet MLA and senior BRS leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy suffered a heart attack at his residence in Hanamkonda on Thursday and was admitted to Rohini Hospital. Sources said his condition was critical.

On learning about his health condition, BRS working president KT Rama Rao, BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao and other party leaders left for Warangal to visit him. They spoke to doctors at Rohini Hospital over the phone to enquire about Sudarshan Reddy’s condition and the treatment being provided.

Sudharshan Reddy began his political career with the then Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) from Nallebelli mandal of erstwhile Warangal district. He was elected as the ZPTC in 2001 and went on to serve as the party district president and also as State politburo member. He contested from Narsampet constituency in 2014, 2018 and 2023, and succeeded in 2018 Assembly elections.
