Former Chevella MLA Konda Lakshma Reddy passes away at 84
Former Chevella MLA and NSS Managing Director Konda Lakshma Reddy passed away in Hyderabad at 84 while undergoing treatment for age-related ailments. A Congress veteran, he was the grandson of former Deputy CM Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy and founder of NSS news agency.

HYDERABAD: Former Chevella MLA and managing Director of News&Services Syndicate (NSS) Konda Lakshma Reddy died in the early hours of Monday while undergoing treatment in Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad for age-related ailments. He was 84.
Lakshma Reddy started a local news agency NSS in 1980 with a passion for journalism. He also worked as President of Jubilee Hills Journalists Cooperative Housing Society and Press Club of Hyderabad.
He was grandson of Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy, former Deputy Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh state. He held different posts including Spokesperson and Grievance Cell Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) during his political career.
Lakshma Reddy was also Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Sports council. He contested in Lok Sabha elections in 1999 and 2014 from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. But, faced defeat in these two elections.
