HYDERABAD: A 35-year-old salesman was arrested for allegedly murdering a saleswoman at a women’s clothing store in Azampura, Chaderghat, on October 9.
The incident occurred at Manha Luxurious Women’s Store in Azampura at around 9.30 pm. According to the police, the suspect, identified as Mohd. Ibrahim, a former employee of the same store, allegedly attacked Tahera Banu with a sharp knife, inflicting severe injuries on her. She later succumbed to her injuries at Osmania General Hospital.
“Ibrahim had allegedly been in a relationship with the woman for the past few years. However, over the last six months, she had reportedly distanced herself from him and stopped responding to his requests. This allegedly led to resentment, prompting him to attack her with a knife while she was at the store,” said Chaderghat police. The suspect was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
