Adilabad: Former minister Jogu Ramanna said that the Congress government would be taught a fitting lesson for its anti-farmer policies. Along with BRS cadres, he staged a rasta-roko on a road demanding that the State government create centres to procure Bengal gram and jowar produce at Gobbayi village in Bela mandal on Saturday.
Led by Jogu Ramanna, the cadres blocked traffic for a while. They raised slogans against the government for delaying the creation of the centres and causing inconvenience to farmers. Ramanna slammed the government for neglecting farmers. He called upon farmers to teach a lesson to the Congress for adopting anti-farmer policies.
Meanwhile, BRS cadres staged a similar rasta-roko on a road demanding that the State government create centres to procure Bengal gram and jowar produce at Mandagada village. They wanted the government to create the centres at the earliest to avoid inconvenience to farmers. They regretted that growers were being forced to sell their produce to private traders.
