Former MLC caught playing cards in Siddipet

Former MLC Kura Raghottam Reddy and three others were caught playing cards during a police raid at his residence in Siddipet on Tuesday night. Police recovered ₹11,600 in cash and four mobile phones and registered a case

Siddipet: Former MLC Kura Raghottam Reddy and his friends were caught playing cards at his residence near the Babu Jagjivan Ram statue under the jurisdiction of Siddipet Two-Town police station on Tuesday night.

According to Inspector Murali, police raided the former MLC’s residence and found Raghottam Reddy, Govindapuram Kanakaiah, Siddanki Ramesh and Pontham Venkata Rajam playing cards. Three others reportedly absconded.

Raghottam Reddy was elected as an MLC from the Adilabad-Nizamabad-Karimnagar and Medak Teachers’ Constituencies in 2019.

Police recovered ₹11,600 in cash and four mobile phones from them. A case was registered.
