Former MP Sabbam Hari dies of Covid-19

Hari was under home quarantine after contacting the disease on April 15. He was later admitted to a private hospital on the advice of doctors.

Visakhapatnam: Former Member of Parliament Sabbam Hari of Anakapalle died of coronavirus disease here on Monday. He was 68 and is survived by two daughters and son.

However, his health deteriorated due to infection and was put on a ventilator as he did not respond to the treatment. He breathed his last in the afternoon.

Hari was also earlier Mayor of Visakhapatnam. He enjoyed both the positions–Mayor and MP as a Congressman. In the last elections, he defected to Telugu Desam Party and contested unsuccessfully from Bheemunipatnam Assembly constituency.
