Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Former Sarpanches locked the office of Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) demanding the government to immediately pay bills of developmental works in Kagaznagar on Thursday.
The Sarpanches regretted that they were forced to run from pillar to post for payment of bills relating to Mana Ooru-Mana Badi, Palle Prakriti Vanam, crematoriums and internal roads taken up in their panchayats. They said that they took up the work by selling their properties. The former heads of villages wanted the government to clear the bills at the earliest. Else, they would intensify a stir against it soon, they warned.
