Formulate action plan for use of IT in SHGs: Somesh Kumar
He instructed the officials to focus on agriculture, food processing, soil testing, growing of vegetables, animal husbandry, nutrition, to change the livelihood of SHG women in the State.
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Friday directed the officials concerned to formulate action plans for use of IT, capacity building, livelihoods, enterprise, development and convergence in the area of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the State.
Following directions from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Secretary held a review meeting on different activities and preparation of action plan of SERP and MEPMA here.
He instructed the officials to focus on agriculture, food processing, soil testing, growing of vegetables, animal husbandry, nutrition, among other things, to change the livelihood of SHG women in the State. He directed the officials to work in small groups and prepare detailed roadmaps for each area.
Somesh Kumar also asked the officials to provide seamless services to SHGs through use of IT and to initiate steps to ensure that every SHG gets bank linkage. He urged the officials to ensure reduction of malnutrition among children and anaemia among women in the State through convergence of SHGs with departments.
