Foundation laid for new building of Bachupally police station

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the new model police station at Bachupally. The multi-storied building will be built on a total area of 16,350 sft with an estimated cost of Rs 3.13 crore, which was funded by the Aurobindo Pharma Foundation as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
Sajjanar said Hyderabad, being a metropolitan city and a hub to many national and international business houses, has been rapidly expanding, and accordingly, safety and security concerns of the citizens have also been increasing.
“To address these concerns, the State government has taken up massive upgradation of policing infrastructure and support the police force. I thank Aurobindo Pharma Foundation for donating the money for the construction of the police station which will be a model police station,” he said. The construction of the ground plus two-floored building on land allotted by the government is expected to be completed and handed over to the Police Department by the year-end.
Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekananda said the Aurobindo Pharma Foundation which is the philanthropic arm of Aurobindo Pharma Limited is taking up various CSR activities since 2015 in different fields such as education, health, women empowerment, agriculture, skilling, etc.
