Warangal: Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy and Mahabubabad MP Maloth Kavitha laid foundation for the construction of a two-lane BT road between Gurijala Crossroad in Maheshwaram to Konapuram village of Chennaraopeta mandal in Warangal district on Sunday. The Roads and Buildings Department is constructing it as the main road to improve the road network in the rural pockets of the Narsampet constituency following the efforts of the local MLA.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudhrashan Reddy said that the long-pending dream of the Narsampet constituency was going to be realised as the State government sanctioned funds for the construction of the road for eight km connecting Gurijala, Lingapuram to Konapuram. “It will be useful for the villagers of Maheshwaram, Ram Naik Thanda, Gurijala, GGR Palli, Lingapuram, Chinna Gurijala and Konapuram,” he said and thanked the government for sanctioning the road for the remote areas in the district. “Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has accorded permission for the construction of the 20,000 metric tonnes of the godown at Konapuram village,” he said and added that he would strive to develop the constituency as per the needs of the people irrespective of political affiliations of the people of the villages.
