Khammam: Four persons were arrested and dry ganja weighing about 16 kg was seized from them here on Tuesday.

Khammam Town ACP Anjaneyulu, in a statement here, said a police patrol team led by SI Rayappa arrested the accused at Eidgah maidan at Gollagudem in the city while they were engaged in the sale of the substance. The seized cannabis was worth Rs 1.60 lakh.

The arrested were identified as Shaik Pasha, Buddhdu village in Nelakondapalli mandal, Shaik Nazir and Idupuganti Chandrasekhar of Wyra and Shaik Yasin of Auto Nagar in Khammam. They were in the habit of consuming cannabis for some time, the ACP said.
