Four arrested for murdering man over previous enmity in Karimnagar
Huzurabad police arrested four persons for allegedly murdering Padige Rakesh, 30, over previous enmity and differences involving an illicit affair. Police said five others were absconding. The accused allegedly lured Rakesh to a secluded place before attacking him.

Karimnagar: Four persons were arrested on charges of murdering a man over previous enmity in Huzurabad on Thursday. Police seized knives and two mobile phones from the accused. Five more accused persons were absconding.
Briefing the media on the arrests, Huzurabad ACP V Madhavi said Amaragonda Prashanth, Raj Kumar, Amaragonda Ritwhik and Thummala Akhil were apprehended for their involvement in the killing of Padige Rakesh (30) of Uppalpalli village on the night of September 27. Akhil, Rahul, Chandu, Ajay and Ganesh were still at large.
During interrogation, Prashanth reportedly confessed to committing the offence due to previous enmity and differences over an illicit affair, and said he had hired Akhil, Rahul, Chandu, Ajay and Ganesh for Rs 20,000 each. He admitted to luring Rakesh with excessive liquor to a secluded place near the SRSP canal at Peddapapaiahpalli.
The ACP further said Prashanth slit Rakesh’s throat, while the others attacked him with sickles, causing his instant death. They then dumped the body in the canal to conceal the crime. Based on a complaint received from Rakesh’s mother, a case was registered. A search has been launched to nab the remaining accused persons.
Huzurabad Inspector Karunakar and SI Ravi were also present.
