Four-day Mukamamidi jatara concludes on a grand note in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: The four-day jatara of Sri Sammakka and Saralamma and Sri Veerla Ankamma Thalli at Mukamamidi village of Mulakalapalli mandal concluded on Thursday.
The Sri Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, held every two years for the past one and a half decade at the famous Sri Sammakka-Saralamma, Sri Veerla Ankamma Thalli, and Sri Rukmini-Satyabhama Sametha Sri Santana Venugopala Swamy temple, was celebrated with great pomp.
The jatara, conducted under the supervision of temple priest Sadiyam Nagendrababu, saw a large number of devotees from various villages in the mandal, as well as from villages bordering Andhra Pradesh, who offered prayers to the goddesses.
The temple committee conducted ‘Annadanam’ to feed the devotees. Palnati Veeracharyulu, Nagendrababu Swamy, Anandu Swamy and Acharyavantulu were chief guests at the jatara. Nearly 20,000 devotees visited the temple and fulfilled their vows during the four-day event.
