HYDERABAD: The EAGLE Force, Telangana, along with officials of Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE), conducted inspections at four medical establishments in Hyderabad.

During the inspections, officials found several alleged regulatory violations, including failure to maintain prescribed Schedule Registers, non-production of sale bills and deficiencies in records relating to Schedule H/H1 and habit-forming drugs.

At Al-Hamra Medical & General Store, Masab Tank, prescribed registers and sale bills for certain medicines were not maintained or produced. Similar deficiencies were found at MM Medical and General Store (MED24 Pharmacy) in Mallepally.

At First Step Drug Mart, Tolichowki, the pharmacist was absent during the inspection and the Schedule H1 Drugs Register was not produced. Officials also noticed discrepancies in the purchase and sale records of habit-forming medicines. At Hayat Pharmacy, Tolichowki, the prescribed Schedule H1 and prescription registers, besides certain sale bills, were not produced for verification.

Following the inspections, show-cause notices were issued to four establishments for the alleged regulatory violations. Further action will be taken under applicable provisions of the Drugs Control Administration, a statement said.
