Four IPS officers get new postings in Telangana

The Telangana government transferred four IPS officers and assigned new postings following the reorganization of police commissionerates. The reshuffle comes amid the expansion of GHMC limits, leading to the creation and restructuring of multiple commissionerates and district police jurisdictions

Hyderabad: The State government on Monday transferred four officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) and gave them new postings.

The officers are G Sudheer Babu – Commissioner of Police Future City – a newly created commissionerate, Avinash Mohanty – Commissioner of Police Malkajgiri – (created by reorganizing Rachakonda), Dr. M Ramesh – Commissioner of Police Cyberabad – (created by organizing Cyberabad) and Akshansh Yadav – SP Yadadri Bhongir district, previously Yadadri Bhongir zone that was part of the Rachakonda Commissionerate.


Over the last few weeks, a series of meetings were held to reorganize the police commissionerates in the newly formed GHMC limits.

The decision to transfer senior police officers  was taken in view of the expansion of the GHMC area.
