Kothagudem: Four Maoist militia members, including two women, surrendered to police at Bhadrachalam in the district on Saturday. Kothagudem: Four Maoist militia members, including two women, surrendered to police at Bhadrachalam in the district on Saturday. The surrendered militia members were identified as Kovvasi Bhimaiah, P Paike, Sodi Ungaiah and Musami Bhame.
They belong to Chennapuram, Kondavai and Rallapuram villages in Cherla mandal, Bhadrachalam ASP Dr. Vineeth G informed in a statement. Bhimaiah was arrested and jailed in 2018. After his release from jail, he again started working for the Maoists in the year 2020 by mobilising Adivasis for Maoist meetings, supplying essentials and informing police movements to the naxals, he said.
