Four Maoists killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

Kothagudem: Four Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and Maoists in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
The security forces recovered the bodies of Maoists along with a huge quantity of weapons, including INSAS and SLR rifles from the spot. The troops launched a search operation based on intelligence inputs regarding the presence of Maoists in the south-western region of Bijapur district.
Intermittent firing has been going on between the security forces and Maoists since the evening hours, said the police.
