Four naxals and a policeman killed in gun fight in Bastar of Chhattisgarh

Four naxals and a policeman were killed in an exchange of fire in Abuzmaad area of Bastar. The gun fight is still continuing.

Hyderabad: In yet another incident, security forces and the proscribed Maoist party activists engaged themselves in a fierce gun fight in Abuz Maad area of Bastar forests in Chhattisgarh on Sunday morning. Reports said at least four maoists and a policeman were killed in the exchange of fire.

Reports reaching here said the exchange of fire was still continuing and a the security forces have confirmed the death of four maoist cadres and a policeman from the DRG.


The secuity forces were reported to have seized some weapons and explosives from the scene of encounter. More details are awaited.
