Four South Central Railway players selected for Asian Games kabaddi squad
Four South Central Railway players - Ritu Negi, Pinky Roy, Avan Lohchab and Sumit Sangwan - have been selected for India’s men’s and women’s kabaddi squads for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan

Hyderabad: Four players from South Central Railway (SCR) – two women, Ritu Negi and Pinky Roy, and two men, Avan Lohchab and Sumit Sangwan – have been selected to represent India at the 2026 Asian Games to be held in Japan from September 19 to October 4.
These players will be part of the respective 12-member Indian men’s and women’s kabaddi squads competing in the tournament, scheduled from September 21 to September 26 at the Tōkai Citizens Gymnasium, Tōkai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
“The selection of four SCR kabaddi players for the Indian contingent is a matter of great pride for South Central Railway in particular and Indian Railways in general. It also reflects SCR’s continued commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talent among its employees,” said Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR, in a media release on Monday.
“We congratulate the four players and convey our best wishes to them while appreciating their dedication, hard work and achievements in the field of sports. We are confident that they will excel at the international platform and bring laurels to the country, as well as Indian Railways and SCR,” he said.
