Four Telangana girls selected as young achievers at national level

Hyderabad: Four girls from Telangana government schools have been selected as young achievers at the national level.

The young achievers were G Sreeja, Class 9, ZPSS Kura, Jainath, Adilabad district, Dheeravath Anitha, Class 10, ZPHS Mulkalapalli, Yadadri district, K Sonu, KGBV Addakal, Mahabubnagar district, and Kashish Singh, Class 8, GGHS Mahabubia, Hyderabad.

These four girls were among 75 young girl achievers who virtually interacted with the Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India and a panel of women achievers as part of National Girl Child Day celebrations on Monday.

Sreeja was selected for her short story writing skills and she has been writing short stories since Class 6 and published her stories with the title ‘Sreeja Kathalu’.

Anitha from a tribal community has come up with bio-degradable sanitary pads- Stree Raksha Pads and won the first position in the School Innovation Challenge of the Telangana government.

Sonu, daughter of a farmer, bagged an engineering seat in the Osmania University College of Engineering. She made optimum use of online coaching provided by the KGBV and cracked the TS EAMCET.

Kashish has been spreading awareness on cybersecurity in her school and neighbourhood. She was trained in Cyber Congress, a state-specific joint initiative of Women Safety Wing, Telangana Police and School Education Department.

Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Secretary to Government (Education), Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and Director of School Education, A Sridevasena appreciated the girls for their achievement and selection as young achievers at the national level.
