Fourth standard student consumes pesticide after scolded by his mother, dies

A fourth class student chided for not going to school by his mother, took poison and died in Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad: A fourth standard student in the district allegedly consumed pesticide after being scolded by his mother and died while undergoing treatment.

The incident took place at Pusala thanda of Garla mandal in the district. The boy, Pawan (10), the youngest son of Ramadasu and Swapna, consumed pesticide on March 11 when no one was at home as he was scolded by his mother for staying at home instead of going to school.

The next day, the boy started vomiting and had a high fever; the family members immediately took him to Government District Hospital at Mahabubabad for treatment. As his condition worsened, he was taken to a private hospital in Hyderabad, where he died on Saturday.
