Hyderabad: In a heartwarming initiative during the Jubilee Hills by-election, several citizens and organisations are stepping forward to encourage voter participation on Tuesday.
Notably, filmmaker SS Rajamouli exercised his franchise early in the day, inspiring many to follow suit.
Meanwhile, the Auto Drivers’ Union has launched a special service to help voters reach their polling stations. Around 150 auto-rickshaws have been deployed to provide free rides for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and new mothers to their polling booths.
Union representatives said the initiative aims to ensure that no voter faces difficulty in reaching polling stations and to promote greater voter turnout in the constituency.
