Nalgonda: Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah on Saturday exhorted elected representatives of local bodies to work for effective implementation of welfare schemes and developmental projects at the field level.
Speaking at the Mandal Parishad general body meeting of Narketpally, he said the fruits of welfare schemes and developmental projects should reach the people. “The elected representatives have a crucial role to play in this regard. At the same time, there is no scope to waste public money spent on the implementation of welfare schemes,” he added.
He also assured to take steps for setting up of a central lighting system in Narketpally and also solve low voltage problem soon.
Mandal Parishad president Sudireddy Narender Reddy and MPTCs of different villages also attended the general body meeting.
