Producer Dil Raju said big filmmakers should associate with small-budget films to break the trend in the film industry. Referring to the upcoming movie Gaali Sampath, Dil Raju hailed director Anil Ravipudi for presenting the movie and, at the same time, mentoring it with screenplay and direction.
“Everyone knew that Anil’s journey from Pataas to Sarileru Neekevvaru was very endearing. Any successful director starts with small films and gradually moves up the ladder. But, they tend to forget small films. Late Dasari Narayana Rao garu, Raghavendra Rao garu, Kodi Ramakrishna garu — all of them started with small films and reached to the top. That’s why they crossed the 100-film mark,” said Dil Raju.
“Now, the current trend is pan-India films. As we know, big filmmakers are not touching the lower rung of films. To break this pattern, I advised Anil Ravipudi to associate with small films. Anil stood as a backbone to this film Gaali Sampath. The movie which is hitting screens on March 11, will surely change the fortunes,” he added.
Gaali Sampath is produced jointly by S Krishna under ImageSpark Entertainment along with Saahu Garapati, Harish Peddi’s Shine Screens. The film features young hero Sree Vishnu and Lovely Singh is his love interest while Natakireeti Dr RajendraPrasad will be seen in the titular role as ‘Gaali Sampath’. Anish is directing Gaali Sampath.
Producer S Krishna shared his association with Anil Ravipudi. “For the first time, I turned a producer with Gaali Sampath. Anil is my strength. This film started as a small movie and with the entry of Anil Ravipudi it turned out to be a big one,” he said.
