Gachibowli: Teen kills father after being scolded for lavish spending
Upon discovering the misuse of money, Hanumanthu scolded his son and told him to give the money back.

Hyderabad: In a chilling incident in Gachibowli, a man was allegedly murdered by his teenage son after being reprimanded for spending Rs. 6 lakh on gambling and a lavish lifestyle.
According to the police, the victim, K Hanumanthu (37), a resident of Gopanpally, had two sons. The elder son is pursuing an Intermediate course while the youngest son was reportedly addicted to online betting and alcohol.
A few weeks ago, Hanumanthu deposited Rs. 6 lakh in the bank account of his elder son. However, the youngest son aged 17 years, who was addicted to online gambling and alcohol spent the entire money on his lavish lifestyle.
Upon discovering the misuse of money, Hanumanthu scolded his son and told him to give the money back.
“Enraged over it, the boy planned to kill his father. On Tuesday night, the juvenile called his father to a secluded place, saying he had arranged the amount. When the man came, the juvenile stabbed his father to death with a knife,” said Gachibowli police.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
