Jogulamba Gadwal: A woman and her father, who were forced to make several rounds of the Tahsildar’s office for a Non-Creamy Layer certificate in Manavapadu mandal since the last few days, finally threatened to lodge a complaint with police, after which the Tahsildar issued the certificate.
A resident of Narayanpur, the woman, Hymavathi, had applied for a non-creamy layer certificate at the Tahsildar Waheeda’s office. Accompanied by her father, Ayyanna, Hymavathi kept doing rounds of the Tahsildar’s office for the last one week. Tuesday being the last date for filing application for staff nurse posts, Hymavathi appealed to the Tahsildar to issue the certificate. Yet, the official failed to issue the certificate, according to reports.
Irked over the official’s apathy, the father and daughter entered into an argument with the officials. They demanded the Tahsildar to issue the certificate immediately as they had to file the application for staff nurse post. It was only when Hymavathi threatened that she would lodge a complaint with the police over the official’s negligence, the Tahsildar signed the certificate, reports said.
A video of the daughter and her father appealing to the Tahsildar was shared on different social media platforms. In the video, the applicant is seen crying inconsolably and asking “How many days does it take to sign one certificate? Today is last date for filing my application.
