GAMA 5th edition to light up Dubai
The 5th GAMA Awards will be held on August 30 in Dubai, featuring star performances, special guests, and awards across 24 crafts of Tollywood, celebrating the best of 2024 cinema.
Hyderabad: The Gulf Academy Movie Awards (GAMA) is back with its 5th edition, promising two days of fun and celebration for Telugu cinema. The event will take place on August 30 at Sharjah Expo Centre, Dubai, with an Excellence Awards ceremony on August 29.
A curtain raiser event was held in Hyderabad on Sunday by Vaibhav Jewellers, the title sponsor. Present were GAMA CEO Saurabh Keshri, Vaibhav Jewellers MD Raghav, and well-known film personalities A Kodandarami Reddy, B Gopal, Faria Abdullah, Manasa Varanasi, Daksha Nagarkar, and Viva Harsha.
Big words from the team
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Saurabh Keshri said GAMA is not about business, but about love for cinema. “We are doing this in memory of my father Mr Trimurtulu. This year, the awards will not only impress audiences in Dubai but also Telugu people across the world,” he said.
Director A Kodandarami Reddy said awards give artists energy like “multivitamins.” Director B Gopal added that this year’s show will be even more special with big performances and grand arrangements.
Performances and stars
Many popular actors and actresses will attend the event, including Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Teja Sajja, Kiran Abbavaram, Sree Vishnu, Roshan, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
The stage will see performances by Urvashi Rautela, Ketika Sharma, Faria Abdullah, Priya Hegde, Sridevi, and others. Manasa Varanasi will perform for the first time, while Daksha Nagarkar and Faria Abdullah return with special acts.
Actor Viva Harsha will co-host the awards along with anchor Suma.
Honoring the best
The awards will cover 24 crafts of Tollywood, with winners chosen by a jury led by A Kodandarami Reddy, Koti, and B Gopal. Movies released in 2024 will be in the race for awards.
The theme song for this year, written by Chandrabose and composed by Raghu Kunche, has already received a strong response.
With stars, music, dance, and awards, GAMA 5th edition is set to be a grand festival for Telugu cinema lovers.
