Hyderabad: Twelve persons were caught following a raid on a gambling den at Meerpet by the Rachakonda Special Operations Team on Sunday. The team seized Rs 3.05 lakh cash and 12 mobile phones along with five sets of playing cards.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided an apartment at Happy Homes in Gayathrinagar under Meerpet police station limits on Sunday afternoon. “Ala Damodhar Reddy was organising three card games at his house and inviting participants to play the game by taking a commission from them,” said the police.
The persons who were caught along with the property were handed over to Meerpet police station for further action.
