Hyderabad: In what is seen as rubbing salt in the wound for families facing displacement from State government’s Gandhi Sarovar Project, a new proposal has been floated.
As the residents of Madhu Park Ridge spend sleepless nights over the threat of demolition of their properties, Rajendranagar MLA T Prakash Goud has proposed that the Congress government would get new flats for the affected families in a gated community or in high-rise apartments in nearby areas.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today’ on Thursday, Prakash Goud said, “We came to know that a few high-rise apartments and gated communities around here have vacant flats. Those losing properties for the project can choose from among these.” The affected families can check around and chose from the vacant flats, he said.
Earlier, on X (previously Twitter), a tweet by a real estate and infra platform quoted Prakash Goud assuring the affected property owners would receive brand new flats in a gated community of similar size or full compensation as per the actual market rate, not the government or circle rate.
Over the past few days, protests are being held by Madhu Park Ridge residents after revenue authorities issued a notification for land acquisition by demolishing the A and B blocks of the Madhu Park Ridge premises.
