Hyderabad: Former Telangana State Sports School student weightlifter D Ganesh clinched a bronze medal in the youth category and fifth position in the junior category at the Youth, Junior national weightlifting championship at the Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, KIIT University in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Competing in the 81 kg category, he lifted 123 kgs in the snatch and 153 kgs in the clean and jerk to clinch the third place with an overall lift of 256 kgs.
