Ganesh idol immersion slows traffic across Hyderabad

Traffic on the roads from Basheerbagh to King Kothi, YMCA Secunderabad to Begumpet Hyderabad Public School, and Khairatabad to Ravindra Bharati was significantly impacted due to the line-up of idols for immersion at Tank Bund.

Hyderabad: Traffic movement in the city is slowed down as the immersion of Ganesh idols in Hussainsagar is still continuing on Wednesday.

Traffic flow on the road between Basheerbagh towards King Kothi, YMCA Secunderabad towards Begumpet Hyderabad Public School, Khairatabad towards Ravindra Bharati was largely affected as the idols are lined up at immersion at Tank Bund.

The traffic police deployed additional personnel and advised people to use alternate routes to reach their destination.

Traffic police officials said the situation will become normal towards afternoon.
