Ganesh idol made of turmeric fingers is a big draw in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A Ganesh idol made of turmeric fingers is drawing the attention of devotees at Kapuwada in Kaghaznagar town.
Pirisingula Jai Chandar, one of the organisers of Ganesh pandal, said that the idol was sculpted using 11 kilograms of turmeric fingers costing Rs 22,000. He stated that they were installing creative idols. He added that they were worshipping eco-friendly idols for 13 years.
He recalled a bunch of youngsters belonging to different religions residing in Kapuwada in Kaghaznagar town were extending their cooperation to place the idols. He recalled that they worshipped an idol sculpted with 25 kilograms of dried peas and about 50 kilograms of clay, straws of paddy in 2022.
The organisers made idols using seeds of tamarind, cotton, betel nuts, pencils, and seashells in the past.
