Ganesh immersion held peacefully in erstwhile Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Ganesh idol immersion was held in a peaceful manner across the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Monday.

Ganesh idol processions were held on a colorful note with people, irrespective of gender or age, seen dancing to the drum beats while participating in processions.


Elaborate arrangements were made for the processions and the immersion. Besides leveling the ground, lighting, barricades, drinking water facility and other arrangements were made at immersion points. Professional swimmers were also deployed at points. Idols were immersed with the help of cranes. In Karimnagar, the procession started from the Number One Ganesh pandal at Tower Circle continuing the age-old tradition. union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Mayor Y Sunil Rao were present.

Members of voluntary organizations and individuals provided drinking water and butter milk to the people participating in the processions.
