Nalgonda: Bidding adieu to Lord Ganesh, Ganesh idols immersion process was taken out in Nalgonda, Suryapet, Bhongir and other towns in erstwhile Nalgonda district amid chants of Ganapathi Bappa Morya by the devotees. The Ganesh idols immersion procession was concluded peacefully in the district.
Energy Minister G jagdish Reddy flagged off the immersion procession of Ganesh idols in Nalgonda by performing pooja at No. 1 Ganesh pandal at Hanuman temple in Old City. District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil, Superintendent of Police A V ranganath, Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy and Nalgonda Municipal Chairman M Saidi Reddy were also participated in the pooja, which was performed by the Vedic pundits before starting of immersion procession.
Ganesh idols immersion procession passed through Nehru Ganj, RP road, Devarakonda road and Clock Tower centre. The people gathered road side and at the clock tower centre to watch Ganesh idols.
In Nalgonda, hundreds of ganesh idols were immersed at 14th mile of NSP left canal near Haliya and Vallabharao Cheruvu on the outskirts of the town. Large Ganesh idols were immersed at 14th mile of the NSP left canal near Haliya and district authorities have made required arrangements for the purpose.
In Suryapet, Ganesh idols were immersed in saddala Cheruvu where required arrangements were made by the district authorities. The Energy Minister drove a tractor, which was carrying Ganesh idol, from Poola centre to saddala Cheruvu in the procession.
