Hyderabad: As a part of Swachh Bharat fortnight celebrations, pre-primary students of Ganges Valley School presented a special assembly on the theme “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.” The assembly aimed to convey the importance of cleanliness to students, the school said.
The assembly began with prayer. Students recited poems on cleanliness. They staged skits to portray the importance of cleanliness, safe and proper disposal of the garage. Students of grade II emphasized maintaining cleanliness in our environs through a dance. Students motivated the audience to join their hands and say no to plastic to make Earth a better place to live by coining a few slogans. Teachers at the event said that students and youngsters can bring about a change in society and be ambassadors of the cleanliness drive and spread awareness on the issue in the society.
Students also reiterated the fact that cleanliness is a habit that leads us towards goodness in every walk of life by keeping ourselves and our environment clean through role play.
Some students also role-played Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed the importance of cleanliness and sanitation. The assemblies concluded with a teacher’s talk quoting “clean, happy, and healthy citizens provide a healthy and developed nation.”
