Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar on Friday slammed former Minister and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender for criticising government schemes.

“Rajender said government schemes such as Kalyanalaxmi, Aasara pensions, and Rythu Bandu were just peanuts. The TRS gave him importance. Where would Rajender be without the TRS?” the Minister said, adding that it is improper for a former Minister to criticise schemes after enjoying various positions for 20 years as well as winning elections riding on the popularity of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Stating that Rajender hatched a conspiracy to split the party, Kamalakar said his plans, however, failed to yield any result. “Individuals are not important. The system is more important. The former Minister’s secret understanding with BJP and Congress leaders have been exposed now,” Kamalakar said, while interacting with TRS public representatives from Jammikunta.

MPTCs and sarpanches from Jammikunta of Huzurabad constituency met Kamalakar at his camp office and explained the local problems to the Minister. Asking the party workers not to worry, he assured that all the problems of MPTCs and sarpanches would be solved.

Promising to continue in the party, the TRS leaders said development of the State as well as welfare activities was possible only through the TRS led by Chandrashekhar Rao.

MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, SUDA Chairman GV Ramakrishna Rao, TRSV state president Gellu Srinivas Yadav and others were present.
