Gangula lays foundation for second integrated market in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister, Gangula Kamalakar informed that they have decided to construct integrated market to sell vegetables, meat and fruits in hygienic conditions.
Minister along with Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao laid foundation for the second integrated market at irrigation department land in front of collectorate camp office here on Friday. Kamalakar wanted traders not to sell vegetables and fruits by placing them on roads and footpaths. In order to sell vegetables and fruits in hygienic conditions at one meter height, integrated market was planned.
While foundation for first integrated market had laid in agriculture market yard, second market was planned in irrigation department land with Rs 14 crore. Markets would be developed with modern facilities.
Informing that there was proposal for five to six markets in the town, he said that plans have been prepared to construct markets in veterinary hospital land in Padmanagar and Kashmirgadda Rythu Bazar.
Stating that tendering process was already completed, he said works would be started in the coming one week period. Besides four existing market areas, integrated markets would be constructed in two new places.
In order to develop parking place, R and B department land near Venkateshwara temple was acquired, he informed and added that detailed project reports (DPR) has also been prepared.
Collector RV Karnan, deputy mayor Challa Swaruparani and others participated in the programme.
